Podcast Review

The podcast I listened to was "The Pete and Sebastian Show", which is a comedic podcast starring Pete Correale and Sebastian Maniscalco. The length of a typical episode is a little less than an hour. The two A-list celebrities have made 279 episodes. Each episode has new and original content, but it is all based on the idea that they are sharing experiences they have had and telling them in a way that accentuates the funny moments. Sometimes there will even be a close friend of theirs on the show who they will interview. Each podcast starts with a certain song which they have used to brand their podcast and they also have an editor who puts in sound effects, which are often clips from movies. The tone of this podcast is humorous as this podcast is not meant to be taken very seriously. I think the intended audience is people more mature and older in age than I am. I find the podcast incredibly funny, but there are sometimes references that I do not get.

Frankie Lopez Profile By: Alexander Rozas When you picture a star soccer player’s life, you might imagine them attractive, popular and smart. However, soccer star Francisco Lopez was depressed, bullied and during his professional career was riddled with sports anxiety. Now he helps kids who are going through the same mental problems he did. Lopez remembers that the peak of his soccer career was in his senior year of high school where McMinnville High School made the finals. “Before that, not many people came to the games, but during the finals over 4,000 people came to support the team,” said Lopez. The game ended with McMinnville beating the powerhouse Jesuit 8-7 in a penalty shootout.
