Photojournalism essay by Kihoon Lee

On a sunny afternoon on 10/29/2020, a house on SW 124th Ave in Beaverton, Oregon, is decorated with a Slim Reaper for Halloween. Some people decorated their house, pulled out their costumes from last year and stocked up on sweet treats, however there are people who are skipping the Halloween tradition this year due to the pandemic. Should we cancel trick-or-treating this year?

This photo of trees is taken 10/29/2020, on NW Skyline Heights Drive in Portland, Oregon. The golden leaves on the trees show Fall has arrived.

The photo is taken 10/29/2020 at the sidewalk of Traders Joe’s grocery store on SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy in Beaverton, Oregon. This is the new norm for grocery shopping...6 feet apart.
