Storytelling: My relationship with my brother

I told my story about my brother. I talked about how our relationship was before he went to college, and how it changed when he left.

I chose to tell a story about us because we have a really good relationship and I wanted to honor that. It's also a way of feeling like he's in Portland even though he's across the country. He is also a really easy person to talk about, so telling stories about our life comes easily to me.

Telling the story wasn't super hard for me. I am a pretty comfortable public speaker, so I wasn't worried. I enjoyed telling it. It was nice when people laughed or reacted in some way to what I said. I learned how welcoming and kind all of my classmates are. Everyone in this class is super supportive of everyone else. I think this project helped us build connections. I think we all learned a little about everyone's life outside of class.
