This video follows a Paula Froelich as she learns how to make tlayuda, or as she describes it, Mexican pizza. She travels to the city of Teotitlan de Valle in Oaxaca to meet with Abigail Mendoza who is considered one of the most famous cooks in the area. Mendoza walks Froelich through all the necessary steps to make tlayuda.

I enjoyed this video because of the high quality videography as well as the humor and curiosity present in the video. Mendoza clearly shows all the steps making them look like a piece of cake. She then allows Froelich to give it a shot and the viewer realizes that it is much harder than Mendoza makes it look.

This video is produced by Yahoo! and is an episode in their series A Broad Abroad. The background music is lively but does not overpower the speaking. However, at the end of the video with the final product in hand the video abruptly stops. The viewer does not get to see Froelich try what she made or describe what a tlayuda tastes like which is slightly disappointing.
