Billie Eilish’s music video for “when the party’s over” opens with her sitting at a desk, her gaze fixated on a glass of black liquid in front of her in a spotless, white room. Eilish's hands nervously tug at the bottom of her shirt. She stares at the glass until she finally lifts it to her lips and drinks the contents, and soon after, a black substance begins to fall from her eyes like tears and she smears it on her face and clothes.

Eilish is known for her soft, eerie singing voice that sounds almost ghostly, as well as her interesting, sometimes creepy music videos. Her exotic character draws in many fans. Eilish cannot be compared to other artists, and this uniqueness makes her an icon.

Eilish’s other music videos give off a similar vibe. Her video for “you should see me in a crown” has the same haunting tone and features Eilish with large spiders and tarantulas slowly crawling all over her body, including inside her mouth. Another video, “bury a friend,” looks like it was taken straight out of a horror movie, with the setting featuring blinking lights and dark rooms and hallways. Billie Eilish is one of kind and her music and videos are worth exploring.
