Billie Eilish, the name should be very familiar. If it is not then you have probably been living under a rock. Her music has become such a big part of music today. Her songs are played regularly on the radio.
People have done covers and put them up on youtube. That’s exactly what Lynnea M did. She put up a cover of her singing “Lovely” by Billie Eilish, featuring Khalid. The song is one of Eilish's biggest hits. The song is a slow tempo song, but it will get you to bop your head. Eilish's music has definitely changed over the past year. Going from soft to hard pop. Her first song ever was Ocean Eyes which was released in 2016 when she was just 14 years old.
Lynnea M is a Youtuber who, as said before, put out her cover of lovely. She has over 600k subscribers but the video has over 2 million views. She put her video out on May 13 2018, so almost one year ago. Now often times when someone does a cover, they will change the tune and make it their own. Lynnea did something like that. She changed it in a subtle way. While keeping the slow pace of the song, she help some notes for longer periods of time, which was different from the original. To me it is so inspiring to see and hear how others can take one song and change the pace or the tune, but still keep the meaning or story of the song.
