Storytelling; Kindergarten Kiss

By Henry Reuland

The storytelling unit in Mass Communications has been my favorite unit thus far.  My story was about my "first kiss" if you could call it that, which occurred in kindergarten in front of the whole class. I chose the story because it was one of my first very memorable moments and shaped the person who I am today, even though it was a small moment.

I really enjoyed telling my story with no notes. Without a laid out plan of my presentation I think it allowed me to flow better and made me more comfortable as if it was just a casual conversation. I really looked forward to telling my story and couldn't wait to tell it to my classmates.

I also learned a lot about my classmates from this project and I think it made our community tighter as we now know stories that we all hold close to our hearts. It was also exciting to hear a story that you were a part of.
